Extremely successful as former CEO of Runtastic, Florian Gschwandtner has shown how to get ahead through hard work, ambition and good strategic decisions. He developed the Runastic smartphone app, since acquired by Adidas, and a significant health and fitness company, together with three partners. Back at home at his family farm, he trusts in a traditional brand - STEYR tractors.
Raised on a farm in Strengberg, Lower Austria, the 37 year old was taught values at a very young age that had a significant influence on his entrepreneurial thinking and behaviour. Although his parents had other plans for him, Florian decided after a five year course in agriculture to study software and technology. There he met his future co-founders, and together they made Runtastic what it is today - one of the most successful start-ups in Austria.
Keeping his feet on the ground.
In spite of his success, Florian Gschwandtner has always kept his feet on the ground, and still has a strong connection to farming and the family farm. Further development of the farm is very important for him, with the priority on new technology that produces maximum benefit.
“We were looking for a tractor that can cover as many roles as possible on the farm, yet is compact in size. The decision was made quickly to get the STEYR 4100 Multi”, says Florian Gschwandtner.
The STEYR Multi is the most innovative tractor in its class. Developed by and with Austrian farmers, it is distinguished by great comfort, versatility and compact design.
“For as long as I can remember, we have used a STEYR tractor on the farm. Quality is important to me and STEYR tractors combine it with good product design. So it was not difficult for me to decide on a STEYR tractor again”, emphasised Florian.
