The engineers at Steyr have managed to weaken the link that was previously a directly proportional relationship between engine power and fuel consumption. Thanks to the use of SCR technology diesel consumption has been lowered by 10 % while up to 14 % more power is now available. The reduction of emissions after the combustion process by adding AdBlue enables a no-compromise engine design as far as power is concerned and previously unattainable fuel savings. That leads to improved cost effectiveness and protects the environment.
