STEYR 4-speed PTO Efficient and economical

STEYR CVT Series tractors are fitted with an independent four-speed rear PTO system as standard. This can be engaged under load and transmits full engine power with remarkable efficiency. The standard 540 and 1000 rpm speeds are exactly at an engine speed of 1880 rpm where maximum power is available.
In addition to the standard 540 and 1000 rpm speeds, the power output can be carefully and effectively controlled by choosing the energy-saving 540E and 1000E settings. Fuel savings of up to 15% can be achieved at the same PTO speed by using 65% of maximum engine speed(1600rpm). This not only helps protect the engine and the environment, but effectively lowers operating costs and reduces noise levels. Rear PTO
The electro-hydraulically operated rear PTO clutch can be engaged under load, with a electronic-operated soft start control to ensure that implements are started slowly. The 6-spline single shaft system is fitted as standard, with 21 spline version available on request. Maximum engine performance is transmitted to the rear PTO with a high degree of efficiency.

Extended PTO management* for even more operating comfort
Simplifies operations at the end of rows by automatic engagement and disengagement of the PTO at a programmable hitch position.
Lower fuel consumption and optimum comfort are guaranteed by the standard engine speed reduction with every raise and lower action as well as the additional reduction and increase of the engine speed.
