Every STEYR CVT tractor is powered by a 6.7 litre turbocharged, intercooled, low-emission (tier III compliant) common rail diesel engine. All models feature electronically controlled continuously variable transmission with DKT Doppel-Kupplungs-Getriebe (double clutch technology), including creeper speeds. The 1000/1000E rear PTO is standard, and all five tractors in the range can be supplied with a front PTO. The hydraulic system features a high capacity hitch and automatic ride control to prevent implements oscillating while travelling at high speed. Automatic 4WD and differential lock and active front axle suspension are standard equipment as are disc brakes for additional safety when hauling heavy loads on the road.

The operator controls are arranged logically and ergonomically, integrated into the Multicontroller armrest with Multicontroller lever and ICP - intuitive control panel. Providing fully programmable functions such as headland management, remote valve sequencing and engine speed management, plus electronic cruise control and automatic four wheel drive and differential lock systems puts the driver in complete control.
