Steyr forestry tractors for Croatia

Thanks to the longstanding co-operation between CASE STEYR Landmaschinentechnik and the Croatian state forests – more than 80 STEYR brand forestry tractors have been in use there since 1994 – confidence is once again being shown in the quality of the tractors from St.Valentin.

The first STEYR 8080 tractors have already performed 5000 operating hours of heavy-duty forestry mulching applications. Another important reason for the decision to acquire a further 50 forestry tractors is the effective after-sales service locally in Croatia. The project is being financed through a cross-border leasing construction by HYPO Leasing Kärnten, on the basis of a government guarantee from the Finance Ministry of the Republic of Croatia. In turn, HYPO Kärnten, through its own trading house, is handling a compensation business with beech and oak wood veneer.

This contract is further proof of the importance of St.Valentin as a location within the CNH Group. St.Valentin is also the base from which sales activities for East Europe are carried out. CNH was founded at the end of last year through the merger between Case and New Holland, and is thus a leading company in the worldwide agricultural and construction equipment business.
