Steyr at Agritechnica 2009 in Hannover
At Agritechnica, the world's largest agricultural trade show, Steyr is presenting the extended Profi series, new trends in the municipal and forestry sectors plus the 2nd generation biogas tractor. "360° innovations" will be shown from 10 to 14 November in Hall 5, stand A 19 and D 26.
Steyr Profi: Even more professional
Three additional models and upgraded standard equipment specifications - those are the main new features for the Steyr Profis. The new Profi Classic models offer 112, 126 and 141 hp, new transmission options (16X16/17 and 24X24) and powerful hydraulics. Low roof, tighter turning circle and steered fenders are standard equipment.
All models in the Profi series are equipped with the latest Multicontroller and ICP. The integrated touchscreen monitors S-Tech 300 and S-Tech 600 are available as options. Not only do they display comprehensive information, they also give you intuitive control of remote valves, PTO and headland management systems.
Municipal and forest professionals meet at Steyr
Steyr offers complete solutions in every size and class of horsepower for municipal and forest. The CVT Trac K and CVT 6200 K add two municipal and forest Profis to the range, featuring continuously variable transmission technology, optimum performance and low diesel consumption - again highlighting Steyr's leading position in these specialised sectors.
Agritechnica premiere: Steyr biogas tractor - the 2nd generation
Steyr takes a clear pioneering lead in alternative fuels and climate protection with the biogas-powered CVT. For the 2nd generation the gas supply system has been optimised to include under-floor tanks and tanks with a capacity of up to 600 kilograms mounted on the front or rear hitch. The potential savings are impressive: fuel 50%, CO2 20%, CO 97%, particulates 19%.
A miracle of efficiency: Double clutch
The future oriented concepts for the latest double clutch technology, which Steyr developed for large tractors with continuously various transmissions, is a natural follow on from the twin clutch systems used in the automotive industry. The CVT is equipped with a double clutch to achieve maximum efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. Combining double clutch technology with continuously various transmissions leads to a considerable increase in efficiency regarding the transmission and power reserves.
